Find out which bin to put your waste in

Use Moreland City Council’s Recycling A-Z guide to determine which bin to use for all types of household waste and find other services and recycling options beyond your kerbside bins.

Detox Your Home

The Detox Your Home program provides a free chemical disposal service for households run by Sustainability Victoria. Residents can drop off household chemicals for safe disposal at pop-up collection events. Permanent drop off-sites are also located at several transfer stations near Moreland which accept paint, batteries and fluorescent light globes only.

Ecoactiv waste collection service

Ecoactiv provides residents with the option of a year-round waste collection service of bulky items such as whitegoods outside of the bi-annual hard waste collection service. You can book a pick-up or drop-off service and will be charged depending on the type, weight and disposal method of your items.
